Odin

The two fragmented bronze pins displaying helmet-clad male heads were both found at the magnate’s residence at Tissø. The figure to the left wears a helmet with horns shaped like birds of prey. Perhaps this bearded warrior is a depiction of the Viking period’s supreme god Odin with his two ravens Hugin and Munin? Photo: the National Museum.
